Snow, snow, and more snow! For those of us longing for spring, this year’s continually wintry weather may have been tiresome. However, one can’t deny the delights of the season – Christmas, snow days, hot chocolate, and scenes like this one from the Bronx zoo:
These cubs and their momma, Sasha, are Amur (also known as Siberian) tigers – a subspecies of tiger that is native to eastern Russia. the Siberian tiger is uniquely designed to withstand bitter cold, with long fur and a layer of fat for a parka, and large paws for snowshoes.
For this feline family, the snow creates one big playground. Especially for the cubs, who are experiencing their very first winter! Check out their winter games below.
