The image was taken in the Linyanti Region of Botswana
while on safari at Duma Tao camp. Two male cheetahs were resting at dusk in the
middle of a large field. At the edge of this field was a rather large herd of
Impalas that had become the primary focus of both Cheetahs. As the sun continued
to set lower, the lighting conditions became more and more challenging. This shot
was taken hand-held from the Land Rover using a Canon EOS 1D Mark II, a 300mm
f/2.8 IS lens with a 1.4xII teleconverter and a 550EX flash attached to a Better
Beamer for fill flash.
