What exactly is a panther? I recently received an email, probably in regards to the recent black panther wallpapers that I posted, stating that there is no such thing as a panther. So I thought I’d take the opportunity to clear up any confusion as to what the word panther actually refers to.
The Feline Conservation Federation (FCF) has put together a great pamphlet identifying some misleading wildcat myths and the fascinating facts that dispel them. The pamphlet even includes legendary wildcat details.

I mentioned in this post that one of the criterion used to group wild cats is whether they purr or roar – As a general rule, cats that purr cannot roar, and cats that roar cannot purr continuously – although roaring cats can create sounds similar to purring.
