and squirrels, is for their own devious delights. Big cats though are a different
matter. They are, with the possible exception of the lion, amongst the most beautiful
and majestic of creatures. It is both a privilege and delight to photograph them
in an attempt to portray their magnificence. And yes, their coats do look infinitely
better on them than a vainglorious human.
I switched from a Konica SLR system to Canon after they introduced their auto-focus
system SLR (EOS) around 14 years ago – though I still have rangefinder and
medium format cameras from other manufactures. Currently, my bags hold Canon EOS
5 & 1vHS film bodies and 10D & 1DmkII digital bodies. Lenses used are
Canon and range from focal length of 16mm to 500mm (primes and zooms) with the
longer focal lengths being image stabilized. No, I don’t carry them all
into the field at the same time!!
