I was born
in Wales in 1969 and for as long as I can remember the natural world has been
a passion of mine, this has coincided with a passion for art, so looking back
now it seems inevitable that I should become a wildlife artist…………….I
don't know why I have this all encompassing desire to paint wildlife....to be
a wildlife artist.... perhaps I will never know, but when I am painting, then
nothing else exists. |

I am right back at the scene where I first saw my subject.
Back with the elephants in the lush vegetation of the Okavango Delta and the Lions
of the dry savannah of Savuti...... It's almost as if time stands still as I relive
my memories through painting.
Big cats in particular are such a joy to paint, can there be any other species
that combines, power and grace so beautifully? When you add to that their incredible
diversity of color and texture they really are a wildlife artist’s dream
subject.
